Bihar Electoral Roll Revision
The Supreme Court has directed actions regarding the exclusion of individuals from the draft electoral roll, emphasizing the democratic right to vote.
Why This Matters
Access to electoral participation is fundamental to democracy, making this topic very relevant and likely to garner widespread public interest.
Public Sentiment Summary
Public sentiment on Bihar's electoral roll revision is highly polarized. While some express gratitude towards the Supreme Court for tackling illegal voting, apprehensions about fraudulent Aadhaar usage and fears of disenfranchising eligible voters dominate discussions. Supporters argue it is essential for maintaining electoral integrity, particularly concerning illegal immigrants, while critics warn of potential political manipulation and the exclusion of vulnerable communities.

Thank you Supreme Court for accepting people's request and saving democracy.
Hats off and a big thank you to the Hon'ble Supreme Court for protecting democracy and the rights of the people with a big slap on the face of the EC.
So the entire point of SIR was completely useless? If someone is excluded from the voter list during the SIR, he can simply apply and vote again if he has an Aadhar card. So why delete his name in the first place?
I am from Bihar and this decision is good because lots of Bangladeshis are there in the Seemanchal area of our state.
This SIR exercise will turn out to be the final nail in the coffin of the election shenanigans. ❤️
